Panchang by City & Horizon नगर एवं क्षितिज पंचांग

Tithi, nakshatra and muhurat are defined by sunrise at your exact latitude and longitude. Sunrise moves west across the country, so every date here is computed per city, offline, with the Lahiri ayanamsa. 46 cities have a full page here; 185 are covered in the Chakra app.

The longitudinal sunrise wave across India

A tithi is tied to the moment the Sun rises where you are. On the same calendar date, sunrise reaches the east hours before the west — so a tithi that has already ended at dawn in one city can still be running at dawn in another, and every muhurat window shifts with it.

How Chakra computes the panchang →

Amanta & Purnimanta

North India commonly counts months Purnimanta (ending at full moon), while most of the South and West count Amanta (ending at new moon). Chakra shows both names on every panchang page — you never have to pick a tradition, just read the one your family follows.
