This website is built to need as little of your data as possible. In plain terms:

No account. There is nothing to sign up for and no login.
No cookies. The site sets no cookies of any kind.
No identifying analytics. We do not run analytics that identify or profile an individual visitor.
Your location stays in your browser. If you allow the browser location prompt, the coordinates from navigator.geolocation are used only in your browser, to pick the nearest city so we can show you the right panchang. They are never sent to any server and never logged.
No third-party sharing. We do not share visitor data with third parties, because we do not collect it.
Static site, no backend. Every page is pre-rendered and served as a static file. There is no application server receiving your requests to process or store.

Standard web-server access logs (IP address, request path, user agent) may be retained briefly by the hosting provider for security and reliability, as with any website. These are not used to build visitor profiles.

The Chakra mobile apps are covered by their own privacy policy, shown in the app stores and inside the app.

Many panchang sites require an account to save your city, drop third-party ad and analytics cookies, and quietly send your location to a server to compute your panchang there.

Chakra

No account is needed because there’s nothing to save server-side. Every panchang page is pre-computed at build time, so your visit never triggers a lookup with your location.
